Three-dimension testing: 听写 (character writing + Hanyu Pinyin), 词语搭配 (collocations), and 好词好句默写 (dictation) — all tested simultaneously every lesson.

Alternating mode: Lesson Mode (odd weeks) tests current chapter vocabulary; Revision Mode (even weeks) tests accumulated weak vocabulary from the revision pool. The pool captures students’ mistakes across all exams, worksheets, lessons and 听写 sessions.

The revision pool is self-regulating — items enter when answered incorrectly and exit when consistently answered correctly, ensuring no weak vocabulary is ever forgotten.

This level of personalisation is only possible because of ZhiHua's small class structure — with a maximum of 6 students, every student's individual error history is tracked and acted on, something no large centre can replicate.

Every ZhiHua skill module focuses on one specific exam technique — nothing more. We teach it systematically using a three-step method:

I Do — The teacher demonstrates the technique with clear examples and model sentences. Students observe.

We Do — Teacher and students work through guided practice questions together. Scaffolding is provided — framework blanks and prompts — to lower the barrier and build confidence before independent work.

You Do — Students complete practice questions independently. The teacher circulates, observes each student, and corrects errors on the spot.

Skill modules rotate across all four exam components — composition, comprehension, language application, and oral — so every component is taught in depth across the year.

The Error Analysis Session is the most powerful 30–40 minutes in a ZhiHua lesson — and the feature most structurally impossible for large tuition centres to replicate.

With only 6 students in the class, the teacher spends 6 to 7 minutes reviewing each student's homework errors individually. They name the specific mistake, explain the root cause, and teach how to avoid similar mistakes in the future.

At a class size of 10 or more students, this session cannot exist in any meaningful form. The maths simply don't work. At ZhiHua, it is the weekly proof of our brand promise.

When the Skill Module teaches one exam component, the 专项练习 segment covers practice and drilling of all the others — ensuring no part of exam readiness is neglected in any given lesson.

For example, if the skill module teaches a composition technique, the drilling segment covers comprehension, language application, cloze passage, and oral sub-skills. If the skill module teaches comprehension, the drilling covers language application, composition sub-skills, and oral techniques.

All 专项练习 materials are ZhiHua's own proprietary content — purpose-built for our curriculum. The question volume is intentionally designed to exceed what can be completed within class time. Unfinished questions carry over as homework for that week.

Every parent receives personalised monthly progress reports — tailor-made and written for their child specifically.

Each report covers:

1. Mock exam results and class performance data — their child’s component-by-component scores and trends over time

2. 听写, 词语搭配 and 默写 accuracy — score trends and current revision pool word count

3. What we covered — skill modules taught that month and why they matter for the exam

4. Strengths observed — specific things their child is doing well, with concrete examples

5. Areas being developed — weaker skills being addressed and how we are approaching them

6. A personal note from the teacher — genuine observations about their child that data alone cannot capture
